The new NYX Girls, part 2

Had my second batch of NYX Girls from Cherry Culture the other day. Actually, only a few are from the new line, mostly because I failed to pick them up last time, although I was aiming at 'em. The rest were bottles from the old line that are on clearance. Most colors are sold out now, so I attempted a kinda hit-or-miss order, and just grabbed a bunch, that looked remotely, vaguely OK, judging from the weird through-the-glass-of-the-bottle-swatches Cherry Culture finally got up.

Violetta, Purple Dream, Yellow Glitter, Banana Boat, Candy Red, Deep Red.

Violetta is absolutely not my kind of colors, so that one was immediately gifted to a friend. Yellow Glitter is suspiciously a lot like the big sister brand NYX's current version of Rainbow Glitter, but I have compared them, and although confusingly alike, they are not identical. The Girls version has a tine bit more glitter, and the NYX is even more highlighter yellow than the Girls is. Candy Red is your average sheer red jelly, and Deep Red is... well... A deep red. Luckily, I love those.

But hey, let's get on to what you came here for! The few new ones.

Robotic, Frizz Spots, Enchanted Forest, Pure Green.

A honestly believe that three out of four are unique in my collection, but already before I had placed my order, I was pretty sure I had a dupe for Robotic.

And once it arrived, it was confirmed. It is exactly identical to Barielle Blackened Bleu, from the All Lacquered Up collection. Maybe it is manufactured by the same company? ;) The formula is the same, the opacity of the charcoal base, the shimmer. Identical. So, if you have the Barielle, skip this one. If you don't already have the Barielle and you're thinking of getting it, get this one instead. It's only 3 bucks.

Which one is which in the photo above? It really doesn't matter all that much, but if you must know, the Barielle is the one to the right.

Swedish word of the day:
undersökning -noun investigation
Can't help doing them.

  1. Nice haul and thanks for the dupe heads up - I've got a feeling NYX is a lot easier to get hold of in Europe than Barielle
