Zuluish green - Nfu Oh 569

Green for luck! That's what I did last night, since I was having a test today. (I'm currently studying to become a nursing assistant, just because.) And the green I was most curious to try out, was the now famous Nfu Oh 569, which has quite the similarities to the even more famous Nars Zulu. Since I'm a newbie, relatively speaking, I of course don't have Zulu, so being able to get a very similar color in wat has been said to be a formula a gazillion times better than the original, is of course a tempting option. And it just so happened that I got a decant bottle in a recent swap, of which I'm exceedingly grateful!

But of course the sun wouldn't shine today to show the color very well. I can assure you it is well worth couple extra drops of drool on your chin, though.

Next week I am doing something entirely new to me, and potentially scary. Wiping the asses of the elderly. Yes, I'm up for four weeks of job training, as a nursing assistant. This means I will have to completely peel off "me", transform some of my look features to fit into a healthcare environment. This will have the following effects:

  1. I will have to cut off my nails. Entirely. Chop chop.
  2. I will not be allowed to wear nail polish.
  3. I will have to remove most of my jewelry.

Buh-bye!

I'll try the following, though:

  1. Wearing some barely noticeable sheers, to see if I can get away with it.
  2. Wearing retainers, since I do not have any desire to yet entirely remove my jewelry.
  3. Post some other, random, possibly, hopefully nail-related stuff on here.

I will have nubbins, and I am not entirely comfortable with that, but if it isn't too terrible, I'll try to post some sheers and some weekend manicures.

I have been feeling so Zuluish tribal with my 569 manicure and all my metal junk, and now I'll enjoy every last little bit of it, because on Sunday night, these nails are going!

Swedish word of the day:
näsborre -noun nostril
Because they should be full of junk.

  4. gildedangel: You know, I thought it would be impossible, but I have had some time to get used to the thought at least. Now it is all done, and I can't say it feels great, but nails grow back and I can put the jewelry back in once these 4 weeks are done. :)

Kaide: Lol! Yes, I hope it will be... bearable. xD It's not what I'm planning to do in the future, but it is part of the education, and I can live with it. :)

Steelnpurple: Trust me, looking down on my nubbins now (!) is sooo weird! I've been showing my nails to my SO all day, together with my puppy face. He's so bored already. xD
