Three coats. Rather sheer. I used a fair amount of a cheap grass green creme from H&M, and poured in some of OPI's Wing It! and quite a bit of LA Girl Rockstar Scandal. The proportions aren't the best, but it's okay. And no, it's not just green and pink, because Wing It! contains some blue. But it's still okay. Nice, maybe. But most of the time, just okay. The shimmer ingredients darkened and altered the green more than a little, but that's okay too. It turned out a pretty nice, cool toned khaki like green. Which I like. I just wish the shimmer had been a little more visible.
Then, one morning, I had my coffee and realized it was the international women's day. So I randomly added some appropriate elements. And all I got was this crappy iPhone photo.
The rough free-hand symbol of feminism, Venus, and copper is made with American Apparel Downtown LA, and the red stars are found in a bottle from the old NYX Girls special glitters line.
But still, no name for my green shimmer franken.
Swedish word of the day:
kvinnokamp -noun women's struggle
Sounds a whole lot better in Swedish, akshully.
Nice franken! Do you own or have access to Nicole by OPI You're An Angel? I made a great green with pink shimmer franken (a little more pink than in yours) by mixing it with a forest green creme (I forget which). It's actually my all time favorite franken, and I've made a lot! You should give it a try if you can :)
ReplyDeleteActually, NOPI polishes are some of the most hard to get for me! Ebay or muling is the only way, and ebay seldom offers international shipping or a wide selection. So, unfortunately: no. Otherwise I would have tried it, thanks for the tip! :)
DeleteLove this! Pink and green always look so good together.
ReplyDeleteI think it's really pretty :)
ReplyDeleteFint! Gillade den sista bilden bäst ;)
ReplyDeleteDet är bra, syster! ;)
DeleteGreat franken! I would call it "Hand Carved" because the colour reminds me of those chinese jade pendants with dragons and rabbits etc. carved on them.
ReplyDeleteHa! I love that we think alike. I too was constantly thinking of jade pieces while making and using this polish, but with the overload of jade named polishes over the last few years... I wasn't too keen on anything containing the word. I'll try the other direction in the box! Thank you. :)
DeleteOtroligt snyggt frankenlack! Snygg nailart också!
