Hard edges, soft edges

Hi all you lovely ones - sorry about the long silence once again! I have been working quite a lot, worn polish but not as much as I'd wanted to, I have a bunch of unpublished manicures, but I have to post this one immediately. It's what I'm wearing now, and I slapped it on first work free day I had, because it is so awesome. Let me present to you, from the 60 Seconds line, Rimmel Hard Edged.

Focus accidentally ended up on the pinky nail here...

This extreme angle shot is not particularily good, but you can tell what's going on, based on all these photos, right?

For all us vampy duo- and multichrome hoz out there, Hard Edged really delivers. Photos do not do it justice, since it's sometimes so hard to get darker, more subtle duochromes to stick to the lens - you'll just have to take my word for it when I say this one is absolutely fantastic. After I had finished the application I practically yelled "Where have you been all my life?!". I know, I'm sane like that.

Charcoal black, somewhat sheer, base, with a multichrome shimmer that ranges from a cool toned, almost pink leaning, red, via bronze and gold, to a subtle green in extreme angles. This is three coats.

I got this one for a couple £ off of British ebay, and I bet all of you who have access to the 60 Seconds line in stores will be able to find it. If you're like me, you need to!

No photos, but I did compare it to our beloved OPI Black Tie Optional, and they're in the same family, but not dupes. However, if you're really lemming Black Tie Optional, maybe this can make the time until you find it a little easier to endure.

Swedish word of the day:
kant -noun edge
Everywhere.

  5. I only have one store about 60 kl away that carries this line and then only do they have maybe 5 polishes ever. This one looks a tad like one of the 2 in the new OPI Germany collection.

    1. Every Month Is Oktoberfest - had to go look at your swatch of this one compared to today's Rimmel. Thinking the OPI is richer maybe & deeper? Both are very pretty. This one here looks to have a lighter brown than the Oktoberfest, but still a lot of goodies in it.

  9. Jag tror det här är en av de överlevande färgerna från den gamla Play Fast linjen. Underbar färg!
