Sunday survey

Fellow Swedish blogger Nailtastic posted a survey last Sunday, asking her readers with blogs to do the same. Since she is blogging primarily in Swedish, I took the liberty to translate the questions, and post a week later.


For how long have you been a nail nerd?
It's all kind of blurry by now, but I do believe it was sometime in early 2009 that I learned about nail blogs and buying polish from abroad over the internet. Of course, I have loved using green nail polish since my early teens, and I bought my first black polish when I was 12.

How many polishes do you have in your collection?
Around 1500. According to my spreadsheet it's 1446, but I have been known to forget adding whole collections to it.

If you, starting now, had to use polishes from one brand only, which one would it be?
This one is so hard, but I think it would be OPI. The relationship is of a love/hate variety, but I can't help being drawn to all kinds of old OPI bottles.

How much do you spend on polish and nail care in one given month?
Since I work hours and have a very unreliable income, it varies quite a lot. It ranges all the way from 0 to around 1000 SEK (~$150).

The most expensive polish in your collection is..?
Hard to say - sometimes swapping is really expensive, for example. But bought with hard cash, a little over 200 SEK (~$30) for a Lancôme I ended up swapping away. Not counting the terrible amounts of shipping money I've spent through the years (lots and lots for most polish addicts outside the US).

What are your lemmings right now?
OPI Black Spotted. Tomorrow it could be something else.

Duo- and multichrome.

Frost.

What nail care products can't you do without?
Nail Tek Citra (I alter between 1 and 2), cleanup remover pen, metal spatula, and lately, INM Out the Door topcoat.
