Look! Sun! We had sun for more than 2 minutes today.
See? In the photos where the purple or pink flash is less apparent, just imagine it being there, in the parts that aren't green...
And yes, if you're starting to think that the index nail looks a little different- it is. I coated it, along with my thumb, with two coats of LA Girl Metal Obsidian, to see if Not Like the Movies behaved differently on top of black. You can see that once opacity has been reached, somewhat, there's not a big difference, except for the mourning line, sort of, that makes the contour towards the cuticle sharper. What you see here is four coats on middle, ring and pinky, and as many as three coats over Obsidian.
So, yes, it is sheer, but it's worth it. The photos do not do this polish justice. If you're thinking of getting just one bottle from the Katy Perry collection, let this be the one.
In some ways, I think of it as a cross between the once so hyped Sally Hansen HD Opulent Cloud, and one of my personal favourites, OPI's Brand New Skates- but still totally different. It's unique in my collection. And yes, this post is a complete rave. No downside can kill this one for me.
Swedish word of the day:
svärmor -noun mother in law
I'm expecting mine tomorrow...
I like it a lot more with this post about it.

Sarah B.: That's because you're a person with a huge heart! <3 ;)
Daria: LOL Dang! This is why no one should blog late at night. ;) 19th century... The eighteenhundreds... Of corse it's all better with more sugar on top - and excessive words! xD
splattergirl: Umm... No?
splattergirl: :) I can assure you though, they're not at all alike. :) I guess, green and purple is one of the most common duochrome pigments. The bases are very very very different tho!
ReplyDeleteThis color is a MUST HAVE!
ReplyDeleteThis looks very similar to OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous. Which one is better? Would you do a comparison?
